The tools here come from that background: they are structured planning models — the kind of arithmetic used to decide whether a spend justifies itself — turned into something a small business owner can use without building a spreadsheet first.
What this site does and does not claim
The site exists to help U.S. small business owners make clearer planning decisions before committing money to marketing, software, websites, pricing changes, or growth projects. It is intentionally tool-first: calculators, a checklist, an AI tool selector, downloadable workbooks, and decision guides that connect a specific question to a practical next step.
It is not a research publisher. You will not find industry benchmarks, survey data, or "average" market rates on this site, because we do not collect that data and will not repeat figures we cannot stand behind. Where a calculator needs a starting value that is not supplied by you — the Website Cost Calculator is the main example — that value is a planning assumption chosen by Silver Shine LLC, and it is published, labelled as such, and explained on the Methodology page.
Worked examples throughout the site use illustrative figures chosen to show how a calculation behaves. They are not client results, case studies, or claims about typical performance.
Advertising and analytics: current status
The Google AdSense script is installed sitewide so Google can review the site as part of the AdSense application process. The site is not currently approved to serve ads, no ad units are placed, Auto Ads are not enabled, and no ads are displayed. Google Analytics is not installed. There are no affiliate links or sponsored placements anywhere on the site. If any of that changes, the policies will be updated before the change goes live and it will be logged on Updates and corrections.

If a formula, coefficient, assumption, or statement on this site looks wrong to you, please say so. Email hello@usabizprofittools.com with the page and what you think is incorrect. Substantive corrections are made to the page and recorded, with the date, on the Updates and corrections page. Corrections that change a calculator result are noted on the calculator page itself.

How the calculators are built
- Each one starts from a decision an owner actually has to make.
- Inputs are limited to numbers most owners can estimate or look up in their own records.
- Most outputs are direct arithmetic on your inputs; the exceptions are identified on the Methodology page.
- Calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.
- Each page states what the model excludes, because the exclusions are usually where estimates go wrong.
- Each page shows what to do when the result is unfavourable, not only when it is good.
- Every calculator has a matching downloadable workbook for offline planning.
